Second At Worlds
June 30, 2012
Gothenberg, Sweden
We won the Silver medal at the 2012 ISAF Women's Match Racing World Championships today!! We advanced to the finals by defeating fellow American's Team Barkow 3-0, but went on to lose a tight series to overall Champions Team Audi Match Race, (FIN).

The day's racing started around 9am after a few delays to fix the boats. Our first series against Team Barkow was a tight series too. In total we ended up sailing four races in the series, but due to an incident in the second race, Team Barkow were deducted a point. So even though they won race three, the scoreline ended at 3-0.

After a very quick rotation into our finals' boat, racing got underway around 1:30. We had some very close races with the Finnish team, with lead changes on most legs, but ultimately they got the better of us and took the series 3-0.
You can checkout the overall scores at regatta website or on MatchRacingResults.
