Molly Vandemoer's Accomplishments Recognised By San Diego YC
Molly is named to the San Diego Yacht Club’s Honor Roll.
Today was the 127th Opening Day for the San Diego Yacht Club and Molly was among the award winners. The SDYC Honor Roll was established in 1987 to recognize members of the yacht club for their outstanding accomplishments. Members recognised must have started in the SDYC Junior Program and have subsequently distinguished themselves, and the Club, by winning an Olympic or Pan Am Games Medal, a World Championship, or a National Championship in an Olympic Class.
“I am honored and humbled to be listed among such great people and sailors. My best memories of growing up are centered around SDYC: anchoring in the basin with family and friends, sailing my sabot in 15 knots and thinking the boat was going to explode, walking around as a kid and seeing the “rockstar sailors” act like normal people and offer a helping hand. San Diego Yacht Club is an unbelievable place and I am truly honored to be recognized.”
Team Maclaren is currently in Weymouth, England training with Team Mulder of the Netherlands in preparation of the next World Cup Event, Semaine Olympique Francaise de Voile, in Hyeres, France, racing begins 22 April.
